Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir: On his visit to the violence-affected region of Poonch, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, took time to engage with schoolchildren, delivering a message of hope, resilience, and encouragement amidst recent tensions along the border.

Interacting warmly with students, Gandhi assured them that peace would return. “Don’t worry… everything will come back to normal,” he said. Emphasizing a positive outlook, he encouraged the children to remain focused and active: “Your way of responding to this problem should be that you study really hard, you play really hard, and you make lots of friends in school.”

His interaction was part of a broader visit aimed at showing solidarity with civilians affected by Pakistani shelling in the region. As the first national leader to visit Poonch after the attacks, Gandhi’s presence has drawn attention to the humanitarian aspect of the conflict and the emotional toll on residents, especially the youth.
