Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, addressed a large gathering in Ambala, Haryana, where he criticized the BJP government, calling it a government for the rich, specifically targeting industrialist Gautam Adani. "This is not Modi ji's government, this is Adani's government," he declared. Gandhi argued that the real fight in Haryana is between two ideologies—justice, represented by Congress, and injustice, represented by the BJP.
Gandhi emphasized that smaller parties in Haryana are merely extensions of the BJP. "All the small parties here are BJP's parties. Their remote control is in BJP’s hands," he claimed, urging voters to see through the façade and recognize the main ideological battle between the Congress and BJP.
Focusing on economic issues, he expressed his commitment to ensuring that any future Congress government would prioritize the welfare of the poor. "I want to know how much money is going into the pockets of the poor and how much is coming out," he said. "We don’t want a government of people like Adani in Haryana. We want a government of farmers and the poor."
Rahul Gandhi urged the people of Haryana to embrace change and prepare for a Congress-led government. He called the Haryana state elections a stepping stone toward larger national change, promising that a government led by Congress would work for justice and economic fairness for the poor and marginalized.
