NEW DELHI | Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, addressing the party’s annual Legal Conclave in the capital, raised serious concerns over the integrity of India’s electoral system, alleging systemic flaws that have persisted since 2014. Gandhi said he had long harbored suspicions regarding the credibility of election outcomes, particularly pointing to the sweeping victories of the BJP in states where opposition parties, including the Congress, failed to secure even a single seat.

“I have been speaking recently about the election system. Since 2014, I’ve had a suspicion that something is not right. It didn’t add up. During the Gujarat Assembly elections, I felt it strongly — this ability to win massive, sweeping victories while the Congress doesn’t get a single seat in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, or Gujarat — it was surprising and puzzling to me,” Gandhi said.

He further hinted at an impending exposé, stating that the Congress party is set to release data that would send shockwaves through the country. “You will see the shockwave that is going to go through the electoral system when we release this data. It is literally like an atom bomb. The truth is, the election system in India is already dead,” Gandhi remarked, adding that this information will bring to light significant irregularities.
