PV Ramasastry to head either BCAS or CISF?

PV Ramasastry is the front runner to take over the director general of CISF.

According to sources close to Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the 1989 batch UP cadre IPS officer currently serving as special DG, BSF is a being favourably considered for the post after the superannuation of Sheel Vardhan Singh.

However there are chances of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security chief Zulfiquar Hasan being shifted to CISF and Ramasastry taking over at BCAS.

Special DG CISF Neena Singh is widely tipped to fill in the vacancy as head of SSB after incumbent Reshmi Shukla was appointed as DGP Maharashtra.
