Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, along with National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, launched the ‘Drug-Free Journey’ campaign today in the village of Langroa, located in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district. The Langroa village panchayat also extended its full support and best wishes for transforming their village into a drug-free zone.

The initiative is part of a larger ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign aimed at eradicating drug abuse across Punjab. As a key component of this effort, a massive ‘Mass Public Contact Campaign’ is being conducted statewide. Daily village assemblies focused on anti-drug awareness are planned in 351 villages to educate people on the harmful effects of drugs, availability of de-addiction centers, and the importance of victim rehabilitation.

Under the campaign, individuals suffering from drug addiction will be provided with treatment, counseling, and vocational training to support their reintegration into society. The Chief Minister emphasized the crucial role of public cooperation, stating, “With your support, we will soon make Punjab free from the scourge of drugs.”
