Mohali: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to hospital after his pulse rate dropped suddenly on Friday evening, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia said on Saturday. Doctors have advised the Chief Minister to remain under medical supervision for two to three days.
Providing an update on his condition, Sisodia assured that Mann is stable and recovering well. “His pulse rate suddenly dropped yesterday evening, so he was hospitalised. He’s doing well now, but doctors have advised 2–3 days of rest in the hospital,” Sisodia said.
Despite being admitted, the Chief Minister is reportedly monitoring the flood situation in Punjab. According to Sisodia, Mann has expressed his intent to meet officials soon to review relief measures and ensure assistance reaches those affected.
“Even while admitted, he remains concerned about the flood situation in Punjab. He said he will soon meet officials to ensure relief work continues. His body is in the hospital, but his soul is with the people of Punjab,” Sisodia added.
