New Delhi: Congress leader and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, while addressing a public rally in Chandni Chowk, strongly defended the legacy of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and criticized both Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their style of politics.
Praising Dikshit’s tenure, Priyanka Gandhi said, “It is very clear what work Sheila Dikshit ji has done in Delhi. She brought drinking water, improved infrastructure, and worked tirelessly, including cleaning sewers. She used to work day and night for the people.” She pointed out that while Kejriwal had accused Dikshit of corruption during his rise to power, none of the allegations were ever proven.

Taking aim at the current political discourse, Priyanka Gandhi accused both the AAP and BJP leadership of indulging in politics that divides people for self-interest. “Politics which makes people fight with each other works only for self-interest,” she said, signaling that both Kejriwal and Modi were more focused on political rhetoric than governance.
She also launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Modi, claiming that a significant portion of his speeches is devoted to blaming others rather than addressing core issues. “80% of Prime Minister Modi’s speech ends in criticizing others. He blames everything on Jawaharlal Nehru,” she remarked, referring to Modi’s frequent criticism of India’s first prime minister.
