Senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of undermining democratic and constitutional rights, alleging that the ruling party was “stealing votes, jobs, and citizenship of people.”

Speaking in Bihar, Priyanka Gandhi urged citizens to remain vigilant and protect their rights. “The BJP is stealing votes, stealing jobs, and stealing citizenship. People must stay alert,” she said, addressing a gathering during the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra.’

The Congress leader was joined by her brother and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, who has been spearheading the yatra across Bihar. The campaign seeks to highlight issues of electoral rights, unemployment, and social justice, while mobilising support ahead of upcoming political contests.

Rahul Gandhi, reiterating his criticism of the central government, said the Congress is committed to “restoring people’s faith in democracy and ensuring their rights are protected.”
