New Delhi — President Droupadi Murmu met with Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers inducted from various State Civil Services, who are currently attending the 127th Induction Training Programme at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA). The officers called on the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan as part of their ongoing training.
During her interaction, President Murmu emphasized the critical role of civil servants in shaping the future of the nation, especially as India aspires to transition into a developed country. She highlighted the importance of inclusive governance, urging the officers to remain mindful of the needs of the most vulnerable.
“Their efforts should specifically focus on ensuring that the marginalized and weaker sections are not left behind in the nation’s journey of transformation into a developed nation,” President Murmu stated, according to an official post from the Rashtrapati Bhavan’s social media handle.
The President's message reinforced the foundational values of the civil service — integrity, empathy, and equity — and served as a reminder of the responsibilities that come with the powerful roles the officers are set to assume.
