Prashant Kumar is the new DG of UP

Uttar Pradesh's SDG Law and Order has issued guidelines for the promotion of Prashant Kumar. He will be the DG of Uttar Pradesh on January 1. Not only this, 34 IPS officers of Uttar Pradesh have been ordered for promotion. Besides, 34 IPS officers have been promoted to the rank of DIG.

The 34 IPS officers who have been promoted are all from the 2009 and 2010 batches.  Prashant Kumar is a 1990 IPS officer. Prashant Kumar, who hails from Bihar, is considered a trusted officer of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Prashant Kumar has received three special police medals for his bravery. He also received the Police Medal for Gallantry from the President.
