PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana: 1 Crore Houses Register In A Month

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced that over one crore houses have been registered for PM Surya Ghar-Muft Bijli Yojana. 

Taking it to his X handle, PM Modi expressed joy over the achievement. He further stated that one crore houses were registered in a month of the scheme's launch. Moreover, the registrations have come from across all states and UTs of India. Furthermore, Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh witnessed over 5 lakh registrations. He also urged others to register for the scheme through pmsuryaghar.gov.in

Launched on February 13, the scheme aims to provide 300 units of free electricity to at least one crore households by installing solar panels and reducing electricity bills.
