Katra, Jammu & Kashmir, June 4, 2025 — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for turning the vision of “Kashmir to Kanyakumari” into a tangible reality with the launch of the Katra–Srinagar Vande Bharat Express.

Speaking at the inauguration event, LG Sinha said, “I feel that 'Kashmir to Kanyakumari' is not just a slogan anymore. The Prime Minister has transformed it into reality by flagging off the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Train.” He hailed the move as a milestone in India's infrastructural and emotional integration.

The newly launched high-speed rail service symbolically and physically connects the northernmost region of the country to its southern reaches, bridging geographies and hearts alike. “By uniting the two corners of the country, he has also made the dreams of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr Syama Prasad Mookherjee come true,” Sinha stated.

He added that this initiative does more than improve logistics—it brings people together. “He has also connected the beating hearts of millions of Indians in the cities connected by this railway line.”

Sinha also praised the inauguration of the Chenab and Anji railway bridges, describing them as not merely infrastructural feats but emotional lifelines for the region. “The railway bridge inaugurated today is not just cement and iron but a medium to connect the aspirations of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
