New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday called for greater unity among Members of Parliament, urging them to set aside party interests in favour of national priorities. Speaking during a session in the Lok Sabha, the Prime Minister said the country has already witnessed the strength of collective action and now needs to build on that momentum.

“The country has seen the power of unity. So all the MPs in the House, give it strength, take it forward,” Modi said, addressing legislators across party lines.

Acknowledging that every political party has its distinct agenda and responsibilities, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of common purpose when it comes to national welfare. “Every political party has its own agenda, its own role, but I accept this reality: ‘Dal hit mein mat bhale na mile lekin desh hit mein mann jarur mile’,” he said, stressing that parties may not always agree for their own benefit, but should find common ground for the country’s benefit.
