Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the 17th Civil Services Day programme in New Delhi, called on India’s civil servants to rise to the occasion and play a proactive role in building a developed nation by eliminating bureaucratic hurdles and fostering an investor-friendly environment.

“The world is excited to invest in India, and it is our job to ensure that we don't lose this opportunity,” the Prime Minister stated. Emphasizing the urgency of cutting through bureaucratic red tape, he added, “We need to ensure that there is no red-tapism at the block level and district level, only then we would be able to achieve our targets.”

Modi highlighted the progress India has made over the past decade, crediting it with laying a strong foundation for the vision of Viksit Bharat—a fully developed India. He urged civil servants to adopt a mission-mode mindset, one that focuses on efficiency, innovation, and results, especially in areas that directly impact citizens and business communities.
