Jharsuguda, Odisha – Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday unveiled development projects worth over Rs 60,000 crore in Odisha, covering sectors such as telecommunications, railways, and higher education. The announcements were made during a public event in Jharsuguda, highlighting the central government’s focus on regional development and infrastructure expansion.
As part of the event, Modi also flagged off the Amrit Bharat train, a significant step in enhancing rail connectivity and modernizing transportation facilities across the state. Officials stated that the projects aim to strengthen educational institutions, improve communication networks, and boost overall economic growth in Odisha.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between the state and central governments in accelerating development and attracting investments. He noted that the newly inaugurated initiatives are expected to generate employment opportunities, enhance industrial capacity, and contribute to the long-term growth of the region.
