New Delhi, June 14 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake an official visit to the Republic of Cyprus from June 15 to 16, at the invitation of Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides. The visit marks a significant diplomatic milestone, being the first by an Indian Prime Minister to the Mediterranean nation in more than two decades.

During his stay in the capital city of Nicosia, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to hold wide-ranging talks with President Christodoulides, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors including trade, investment, technology, and maritime collaboration. Both sides are expected to explore avenues for greater strategic engagement within the broader framework of India-EU relations and the Mediterranean region.

In addition to official discussions, Prime Minister Modi will also travel to Limassol to address a gathering of business leaders. The event is aimed at encouraging investment, fostering innovation partnerships, and promoting economic collaboration between the two countries.
