Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed enthusiasm for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to the state, where he will inaugurate the Ken-Betwa river link project. The project marks a significant milestone in addressing water scarcity and enhancing the livelihoods of millions in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Yadav said, "I am glad that PM Modi is coming here to bless Madhya Pradesh with this landmark project. The Ken-Betwa river link project will benefit 50 lakh to 1 crore people by providing them access to drinking water."
The Ken-Betwa river interlinking project is a long-awaited initiative that aims to manage water resources effectively in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. It is expected to address water shortages in Bundelkhand and other arid areas, offering relief to communities reliant on agriculture and daily water needs.
Highlighting the significance of the event, CM Yadav added, "This is a monumental step towards improving the lives of people in Madhya Pradesh. I welcome PM Modi for this historic occasion and appreciate the Union government's commitment to developmental projects in the state."
The Chief Minister also mentioned a recent meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, emphasizing the central and state governments' collaborative approach to driving transformative infrastructure projects.
The foundation-laying ceremony by PM Modi is anticipated to draw significant attention as it showcases the government's dedication to water management and regional development.
