New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday announced that he will visit Gaya to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects valued at more than ₹13,000 crore.
In a social media post, Modi said, “I look forward to being in Gaya, where works worth over Rs. 13,000 crore will be inaugurated or their foundation stones will be laid. The projects include the four-lane Bakhtiyarpur to Mokama section of NH-31, Buxar Thermal Power Plant, Sewerage Treatment Plants and Sewerage Networks.”
The projects cover key sectors such as road connectivity, power generation, and urban infrastructure. The National Highway 31 expansion aims to improve regional mobility, while the Buxar Thermal Power Plant is expected to strengthen energy supply in the region.
The addition of sewerage treatment plants and networks is designed to address sanitation challenges and modernise civic infrastructure in urban areas.
