PM Modi Slams AAP After BJP's Landslide Victory in Delhi Elections 2025

New Delhi: Following the BJP’s sweeping victory in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing it of corruption and betrayal of public trust. He claimed that the party, which once emerged from an anti-corruption movement, had itself become a symbol of dishonesty.

"These people of 'AAP-da' came into politics saying they would change the system, but they turned out to be completely dishonest. Today, I was listening to the statement of Anna Hazare ji. He has long been suffering the pain of the misdeeds of these people. Today, even he must have found some relief," Modi said, referencing the veteran activist who once led the anti-corruption movement that propelled AAP into power.

PM Modi highlighted a series of corruption allegations against AAP leaders, particularly in the Delhi liquor policy case, which led to the arrest of several ministers. "The party that was born out of an anti-corruption movement got involved in corruption. It became the only party in the country whose Chief Minister and Ministers went to jail on corruption charges," he remarked.

He further accused AAP of running scams in education and healthcare, claiming that the most vulnerable citizens bore the brunt of their actions. "The liquor scam defamed Delhi. The scams in schools and hospitals troubled the poorest of the poor," he said.

The Prime Minister also criticized the party's alleged extravagance during the COVID-19 crisis, referencing the controversy surrounding the construction of the Delhi CM's official residence. "Their arrogance was so high that when the world was dealing with Corona, these people were building 'Sheesh Mahal' (glass palace)," he added.
