New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the Lok Sabha, expressing gratitude to the people of India for their role in the successful organization of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. Calling it a grand spiritual and cultural event, he acknowledged the collective efforts of individuals and government officials in making the festival a success.
"I am here to give a statement over Maha Kumbh, which was held in Prayagraj. Through this House today, I salute the people of the country because of whom the Maha Kumbh was held successfully. Several people had a role to play in the success of Maha Kumbh. I thank all the 'karm yogis' of the government and society," Modi said.
The Maha Kumbh, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, witnessed millions of devotees participating in rituals along the banks of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. The event required extensive planning and coordination across multiple agencies to manage crowd control, sanitation, and security.
