The grand Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, a 45-day spiritual spectacle, has come to an end, leaving behind a legacy of unity and devotion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, deeply moved by the event’s significance, penned his thoughts in a blog and shared them on X, calling the Maha Kumbh a “Maha Yagya of Unity.”
“The Maha Kumbh has concluded… The Maha Yagya of Unity has been accomplished. The way the faith of 140 crore Indians united over these 45 days in the Maha Kumbh of Unity in Prayagraj is truly overwhelming,” he wrote.
PM Modi emphasized that the massive participation of devotees was not just a record-breaking event but a historic foundation for preserving India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage for centuries to come. He also highlighted that Prayagraj’s Maha Kumbh has become a subject of study for global experts in management, planning, and policy-making, showcasing India’s capability in organizing such a massive gathering efficiently.

Reflecting on India’s journey, he stated, “India, proud of its heritage, is now moving forward with new energy. This is the dawn of an era of transformation that is set to write the country’s new future.”
PM Modi also acknowledged the collective effort of millions who made the event successful, calling it a true representation of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Great India). Overwhelmed by the unity and devotion witnessed, he announced his plan to visit Shri Somnath, the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas, to offer prayers for the continued unity and prosperity of the nation.
