New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday urged the Congress party to clarify who, according to its own senior leader, prevented India’s military response in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Addressing a public event, Modi referred to a statement made by a Congress leader and former Union home minister, who reportedly said that a foreign country had intervened to stop India from taking military action following the 2008 terror assault.

“A Congress leader, who has also been Union home minister, has said that a country prevented India's military retaliation post-26/11 Mumbai terror attack in 2008. The party should clarify,” the Prime Minister said.
