PM Modi Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Pranab Mukherjee on His Birth Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday offered heartfelt tributes to former President Pranab Mukherjee on his birth anniversary, remembering him as one of India’s most distinguished statesmen and a leader whose contribution continues to guide the nation.

In a message shared on the occasion, the Prime Minister described Mukherjee as “a towering statesman and a scholar of exceptional depth” who devoted his life to public service. Modi noted that Mukherjee's political journey—spanning several decades and multiple key portfolios—left a profound imprint on the country’s governance and democratic institutions.

“Pranab Babu’s intellect and clarity of thought enriched our democracy at every step,” Modi said, emphasising the former President’s role in shaping policy, building consensus, and upholding constitutional values. The Prime Minister also recalled his personal interactions with Mukherjee, calling it a privilege to have learned from his experience and wisdom over the years.
