New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he had a “wonderful meeting” with His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo of Bhutan, highlighting the deep-rooted friendship and growing partnership between the two nations.
In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi appreciated the Fourth King’s “extensive efforts over the years towards further cementing India-Bhutan ties.” The Prime Minister said the two leaders discussed cooperation in key areas including energy, trade, technology, and connectivity.
PM Modi also lauded the progress of Bhutan’s ambitious Gelephu Mindfulness City Project, a transformative urban development initiative envisioned to integrate sustainability, spirituality, and economic growth. “The project aligns with our Act East Policy,” he said, underscoring India’s commitment to regional connectivity and sustainable development across South Asia.
