New Delhi, July 1 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday commemorated the 10th anniversary of the Digital India initiative, calling it a “historic day” that marks a decade of transformative progress in governance, technology, and public service delivery.

Taking to social media with the hashtag #10YearsOfDigitalIndia, PM Modi reflected on the program’s journey since its launch in 2015. “Ten years ago, Digital India began as an initiative to transform our nation into a digitally empowered and technologically advanced society,” he wrote.

“A decade later, we stand witness to a journey that has touched countless lives and ushered in a new era of empowerment,” he added, highlighting the program’s widespread impact across sectors.

PM Modi lauded the role of 140 crore Indians in driving India’s digital revolution, particularly the exponential rise in digital payments, which have now become a cornerstone of everyday transactions. He also underlined the program’s influence on critical areas such as healthcare and education, where digital tools have enhanced access and efficiency.
