New Delhi — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the 'Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan', a national campaign aimed at enhancing India's agricultural landscape by promoting synergy between scientific research and grassroots-level farming innovations. Addressing a gathering of agricultural scientists, policymakers, and farmers, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of disseminating successful agricultural research and on-ground experiments to farmers across the country.

"In the previous decades, our agriculture scientists have done good research in several sectors, they have produced better results," PM Modi said during his address. "On the other hand, the progressive farmers of our country too brought about great changes in the agricultural sector through their own experiments. They have increased production and done successful experiments."

He stressed that the next leap in Indian agriculture depends on effectively communicating these achievements. “It is very important for the details on successful research by scientists and successful experiments by progressive farmers to reach all our farmers,” he added.

Highlighting the role of the new campaign, Modi noted that the 'Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan' would provide ample opportunities to amplify such knowledge sharing with renewed vigour.
