AMARAVATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation a series of mega development projects worth more than ₹58,000 crore across multiple sectors including roads, defence, railways, industrial corridors, and Amaravati's capital city infrastructure.
At a high-profile ceremony held in Amaravati, PM Modi was joined by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and several senior state and central leaders. The event marks a significant push toward the long-pending vision of developing Amaravati into a world-class capital city, along with fortifying the state's economic and strategic infrastructure.
“These projects will accelerate Andhra Pradesh’s growth, boost job creation, and strengthen India's defence and industrial backbone,” Modi said during his address. “It is a proud moment to see Amaravati taking firm steps toward becoming a symbol of modern India.”
