New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed the Rozgar Mela, highlighting India’s economic progress, employment generation, and the pivotal role of the country’s youth in driving growth.

Citing recent festive season sales, Modi said, “We recently saw record sales on Dhanteras and Diwali, setting new records and shattering old ones. This demonstrates how the GST reforms have given the country's economy a new impetus.” He noted that these reforms are benefiting the MSME sector and retail trade, creating multiple employment opportunities in sectors like manufacturing, logistics, packaging, and distribution.

The Prime Minister also stressed India’s demographic advantage, calling the country “the youngest nation in the world” and highlighting the potential of its youth as a major strength. “We are moving forward with this vision and confidence in every field. Even our foreign policy is focused on the interests of India's youth,” he said.

Modi detailed several international partnerships and agreements aimed at boosting investment and employment. “Recently, the British Prime Minister visited India. During his visit, India and the UK agreed to increase investment in sectors like AI, fintech, and clean energy. The free trade agreement signed between India and the UK a few months ago will also create new opportunities. Similarly, investment partnerships have been established with several European countries,” he said.

He added that agreements with Brazil, Singapore, Korea, and Canada are expected to further increase investment, support startups and MSMEs, enhance exports, and provide young Indians with opportunities to work on global projects. “Many opportunities will arise,” Modi concluded, reiterating his vision of harnessing India’s youth for economic and social growth.
