New Delhi | In the 117th episode of his monthly radio program Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shed light on the preparations underway for the Maha Kumbh, set to begin on January 13, 2025, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The PM described the event as a "Maha Kumbh of Unity" and urged devotees to use the occasion to foster harmony and eradicate divisions in society.

“The Maha Kumbh is going to be held in Prayagraj from January 13. At this time, mammoth preparations are going on at the Sangam banks. When we participate in the Kumbh, let us make a resolve to annihilate the feeling of division and hatred in society,” the PM stated.

In a first, the Kumbh will feature an Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot to assist devotees in 11 Indian languages, reflecting the government’s commitment to integrating technology with tradition. The chatbot will provide information on accommodations, homestays, government-approved tour packages, and other logistics to ensure a smooth experience for millions of pilgrims.

The Prime Minister highlighted the essence of equality and unity associated with the Kumbh. “There is no discrimination anywhere, no one is big, no one is small. Therefore, our Kumbh is also the Maha Kumbh of Unity,” he emphasized.

The Maha Kumbh is a centuries-old spiritual event that draws millions from across the globe to Prayagraj, where the holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati converge. This year’s innovations, including the AI chatbot, aim to modernize the experience while preserving its sanctity.
