New Delhi, June 24 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the centenary celebration of the historic conversation between Sree Narayana Guru and Mahatma Gandhi, used the occasion to underscore India’s advancing defence capabilities and decisive stance against terrorism, citing the success of Operation Sindoor as a prime example.
“Recently, the world witnessed India’s strength and resolve,” PM Modi said. “Operation Sindoor made it very clear that India has a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. We’ve shown the world that no place is safe for those who spill Indian blood.”
He emphasized that India’s armed forces brought enemies to their knees in just 22 minutes, and highlighted that the operation was carried out using Made-in-India weapons, a testament to the country’s growing ‘Aatmanirbharta’ (self-reliance) in the defence sector.
“Our dependence on foreign countries for defence is continuously declining,” Modi added. “This transformation was visible in the efficiency and impact of Operation Sindoor.”
He also expressed confidence that Indian-manufactured defence equipment will soon gain international recognition. “In the coming times, Made-in-India weapons will be known and respected globally,” he asserted.
