Araria, Bihar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday highlighted the NDA government’s development initiatives in Bihar, crediting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for helping the state overcome what he called the “era of jungle raj.” Speaking at an election rally in Araria, Modi outlined a series of educational and healthcare projects launched under the NDA, while simultaneously warning about what he termed the “threat of infiltrators” allegedly being supported by opposition parties.
“In the NDA government, Nitish ji has worked tirelessly to pull Bihar out of jungle raj. After the double-engine government was formed in 2014, Bihar's development has gained new momentum,” Modi said. Listing major institutions established in the state, he added, “IIT has opened in Patna, IIM in Bodh Gaya, AIIMS in Patna, work on AIIMS Darbhanga is progressing rapidly, now Bihar also has a National Law University, IIIT in Bhagalpur, and four central universities have been established.”
The Prime Minister then shifted focus to national security, alleging that the RJD and Congress were protecting infiltrators for political gains. “A very major challenge stands before these efforts of ours — that challenge is of the infiltrators. The NDA government is engaged with complete honesty in identifying each and every infiltrator and deporting them from the country. But these RJD and Congress people are busy protecting them. They spread all sorts of lies to save these infiltrators and take out political tours to mislead the people,” Modi said.
Framing the election as a choice between “development and deception,” Modi urged voters to support the NDA for continued progress and national security. His remarks drew loud cheers from the crowd as he reiterated the government’s commitment to building a prosperous and secure Bihar.
