New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha during a special discussion to mark the 75th anniversary of the adoption of India’s Constitution, calling the occasion a momentous milestone in the country’s democratic journey.

“The 75 years of the Constitution have been memorable. The 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution is an event to celebrate. I am extremely glad that the Parliament is participating in this historic event,” PM Modi said, expressing his pride in the nation's progress since the Constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950.

Modi highlighted the Constitution as the guiding framework of India’s democracy and a symbol of the country’s commitment to justice, equality, and freedom for all citizens. He emphasized how the Constitution has withstood the test of time, adapting to the changing needs of a diverse and rapidly evolving nation.

The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to reflect on India’s remarkable journey over the past 75 years, noting the transformative progress the country has made in various fields such as education, technology, infrastructure, and social welfare.
