New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings on the occasion of National Science Day, emphasizing the importance of scientific innovation and encouraging young minds to actively engage in research and discovery.
In a post on X, Modi wrote, “Greetings on National Science Day to those passionate about science, particularly our young innovators. Let’s keep popularising science and innovation and leveraging science to build a Viksit Bharat.”
Highlighting his recent Mann Ki Baat address, the Prime Minister recalled his initiative, ‘One Day as a Scientist’, which encourages youth participation in scientific activities. He urged students and researchers to harness science as a tool for national development.
National Science Day, celebrated annually on February 28, marks the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman. The day serves as a reminder of India’s rich scientific heritage and the role of science in shaping the country's future.
