Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his distress over the landslides in Wayanad, Kerala, which have resulted in significant loss of life and injuries. In a tweet, PM Modi conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and his thoughts and prayers for the injured.
"Distressed by the landslides in parts of Wayanad. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones and prayers with those injured," Modi wrote. He also provided an update on the rescue operations, stating that they are currently underway to assist those affected. PM Modi mentioned that he has spoken to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and assured all possible help from the Centre in light of the prevailing situation.
