Madhubani: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Bihar’s Madhubani, distributed financial assistance to beneficiaries under two flagship welfare schemes—Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin and Urban) and the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY–NRLM). The move reaffirms the government’s focus on inclusive development, housing for all, and women-led empowerment.
Addressing a gathering at the event, PM Modi said that the financial aid will not only provide secure housing but also uplift rural families through sustainable livelihood opportunities. “Our goal is to ensure every poor family has a pucca house with basic amenities and that women in villages become financially self-reliant,” he stated.
Under the PM Awas Yojana, thousands of families across Bihar are being assisted to construct and upgrade their homes. Meanwhile, the DAY–NRLM scheme continues to empower rural women by promoting self-help groups, skilling, and entrepreneurship.
