Bhopal — Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially become the second-longest serving Prime Minister in India’s history, having completed 4,078 consecutive days in office as of this week. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav congratulated the Prime Minister on this milestone, calling it a testament to his leadership and enduring public support.
“Today, Prime Minister Modi adds another record to his name by becoming the second-longest serving Prime Minister of India. I congratulate him on this historic achievement,” Yadav said while addressing the media in Bhopal. “He stands firm internationally and has consistently delivered milestones for the country. I hope he surpasses this record and once again forms the government in 2029.”
Modi assumed office as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014. His uninterrupted tenure of over 11 years places him second only to the country’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, who served for over 17 years.
