New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a powerful display of humility and reverence, attended the Navkar Mahamantra Divas event at Vigyan Bhawan in the national capital on Tuesday without footwear and chose to sit among the people rather than on the dais. The symbolic act underscored the spiritual significance of the occasion and sent a message of equality and devotion.

The Prime Minister’s decision to go barefoot at the religious gathering was a traditional mark of respect, in line with Jain customs and spiritual discipline. Observers noted that his presence among the attendees, rather than occupying a prominent seat on the stage, reflected his commitment to humility and inclusivity.

“This is not just an event, it is a moment of spiritual unity,” PM Modi said during his address, which was streamed live across the globe as part of the Vishwa Navkar Mahamantra Divas celebrations. The program, organized by the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO), drew participation from religious leaders, spiritual practitioners, and members of the Jain community worldwide.
