PM Modi Attends ‘Jhumoir Binandini’ Event in Guwahati

Guwahati, Assam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed as he arrived at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati to attend the ‘Jhumoir Binandini’ event, a cultural celebration that highlights Assam’s rich traditions. Accompanied by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Modi greeted the enthusiastic crowd, acknowledging the vibrant cultural spirit of the state.

The event, which showcases the traditional dance form of the Assamese tea community, saw participation from numerous cultural performers and dignitaries. ‘Jhumoir Binandini’ is known for honoring the contributions of Assam’s tea garden workers, particularly women, in preserving and promoting the state’s heritage.
