New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Delhi, emphasized the transformative role of aviation in shaping the 21st-century global economy, and underlined the industry's potential to drive climate action, international cooperation, and inclusive growth.

Speaking to a global audience of aviation leaders and policymakers, PM Modi noted that the Summit goes beyond discussions on aviation. “This Summit, this Dialogue is also a medium to take forward the shared agenda of global cooperation, climate commitments, and equitable growth,” he said, adding that the deliberations taking place would “pave a new direction for global aviation.”

Highlighting the rapid advancements in the aviation industry, the Prime Minister reflected on the remarkable progress humanity has made. “Today, we cover a distance of hundreds of kilometres, an intercontinental journey in just a few hours,” he said. However, he added, “The dreams of the 21st-century world, our infinite imaginations, have not stopped.”

Modi emphasized that innovation and technological upgrades are advancing at unprecedented speeds, unlocking new frontiers in efficiency, sustainability, and connectivity. “The speed of innovation and technology upgradation is much faster than before,” he said, expressing confidence that the global community would harness these trends to unlock the full potential of the aviation sector.
