Apulia, Italy: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the G7 Outreach Session, delivered a strong message on the urgent need for global unity against terrorism. In his remarks, the Prime Minister underscored the evolving nature of security challenges worldwide and reaffirmed India's commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms.

Expressing gratitude to the international community for its solidarity with India, Modi referred to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, calling it “not just an assault on India, but an attack on the entire humanity.” He stressed that terrorism transcends borders and ideologies and must be confronted collectively by the world.

“There can be no double standards in dealing with terrorism,” the Prime Minister stated firmly. “Those who support and promote terrorism must face strict consequences. They should not be rewarded or legitimised by the global community in any form.”

Modi’s remarks are seen as a pointed rebuke to countries that have been accused of harbouring or financing terrorism, without naming specific nations. His speech echoed India’s long-standing call for a zero-tolerance approach to terrorism at multilateral forums.

He also urged G7 leaders and invited nations to strengthen international frameworks to track terror financing and ensure that technology is not misused by terror networks. Emphasising moral clarity, he said, “Support to terrorism is support against humanity itself.”
