BY A STAFF REPORTER: On the occasion of International Women's Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a price reduction in domestic gas cylinders on 8th March, Friday.

Taking it to his X handle, PM Modi shared his government's decision to reduce Rs. 100 in LPG prices. Moreover, he emphasized that this move will significantly ease the financial burden on millions of households across the country.

PM Modi further affirmed that the decision aims to support the well-being of families and ensure a healthier environment. 

In October of last year, the government increased the subsidy to ₹300 per bottle from ₹200 for 14.2 kg cylinders, with up to 12 refills allowed annually.
