Araria, Bihar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accusing them of disrespecting the nation’s faith and traditions. Addressing a public rally in Araria, Modi said that both parties have “no concern for the country’s security and faith.”
“Whether it's Congress or RJD, they have no concern for the country's security and faith. That’s why these people also insult our faith and culture,” Modi said. He criticised Congress leaders for allegedly mocking the revered Chhath festival, which holds deep cultural and spiritual significance in Bihar and eastern India.
“Congress’s ‘naamdaar’ comes to Bihar and calls the worship of Chhathi Maiya a drama. This is an insult to Chhathi Maiya, to our faith,” the Prime Minister said, evoking a strong response from the crowd. He further added, “Our mothers and sisters don’t even drink water during the worship of Chhathi Maiya, and they call it a farce.”
