New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera has raised a series of pointed questions regarding recent terror incidents and the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, demanding a comprehensive and transparent discussion on national security in Parliament.
Speaking to reporters, Khera said, “So far we have not got answers to what happened to the terrorists in Poonch in 2023, in Ganderbal on 2 October 2024, and in Pahalgam in April 2025. Where are the terrorists? On what conditions did the ceasefire happen? How did Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar escape?”

Khera’s remarks come amid ongoing political and public debate over the recent ceasefire agreement that followed heightened tensions and cross-border hostilities earlier this year. His comments suggest growing opposition pressure on the government to clarify the terms of the ceasefire and accountability in major terrorist incidents over the last two years.
The Congress leader also called for more transparency in national security matters and insisted that “serious discussions on serious issues” must take place within Parliament to uphold democratic accountability.
