New Delhi: On the night of April 28-29, 2025, the Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked small arms fire across the Line of Control (LoC) in multiple sectors, including areas opposite Kupwara and Baramulla districts, as well as the Akhnoor sector in Jammu and Kashmir. This escalation comes amid ongoing tensions in the region.
The Indian Army, known for its readiness and strategic restraint, responded promptly to the provocation in a measured and effective manner. While the situation remains under control, the unprovoked firing from the Pakistan Army has once again raised concerns over the fragile peace along the LoC, a region frequently affected by skirmishes and cross-border firing.
