Operation Sindoor: Indian Army Destroys Terrorist Launchpads Near LoC

By A Staff Reporter

In a swift and resolute response to attempted cross-border aggression, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor, targeting and destroying multiple terrorist launchpads near the Line of Control (LoC) on May 9, 2025. This action followed the attempted drone strikes on the night of May 8 and 9 by Pakistan-backed elements across multiple cities in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab.

According to a statement released by the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG PI) of the Indian Army, the terrorist launchpads were known hubs of infiltration and terror planning. These facilities had been instrumental in past attacks targeting both Indian civilians and security forces.

The Indian Army’s action was a coordinated fire assault, strategically planned to neutralize the infrastructure that posed a continued threat to national security. Precision strikes reportedly razed the launchpads to cinders, dealing a severe blow to terrorist operations in the region.

This bold military move has been widely interpreted as a clear signal of India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism and cross-border provocation. Security experts suggest that such a decisive measure could also serve as a strong deterrent against future misadventures from across the border.
