New Delhi: India’s evacuation efforts under Operation Sindhu continue at full pace, with a fourth flight from Iran landing safely in New Delhi at 4:30 PM on June 21. The flight from Mashhad brought back 310 Indian nationals, raising the total number of evacuees to 827, confirmed Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal in a post on social media.

The operation was launched in response to intensifying tensions between Israel and Iran, aimed at ensuring the safety of Indian citizens caught in the crossfire of potential conflict zones.

Earlier flights under Operation Sindhu had evacuated hundreds from various parts of Iran, including 256 people on the third flight. The Indian government has been working through its missions in Tehran and Mashhad, providing shelter, food, and travel arrangements for those awaiting evacuation.

“We are grateful to the Modi government for its efforts. Our journey back to India was smooth. The stay arrangements were very good, and everything was well managed,” said a couple who returned on one of the earlier flights.
