New Delhi: The third evacuation flight under Operation Sindhu—India’s emergency mission to bring back citizens from Iran—successfully landed at Delhi Airport earlier today, carrying 256 Indian nationals safely back home.

The operation was launched by the Indian government in response to escalating hostilities between Israel and Iran, which have raised serious security concerns in the region. With the situation becoming increasingly volatile, swift action was taken to ensure the safety of Indian citizens residing in or visiting Iran.

A couple who returned on today’s flight expressed their gratitude to the government, saying, “We are grateful to the Modi government for its efforts. Our journey back to India was smooth. The stay arrangements were very good, and everything was well managed.”

So far, hundreds of Indians have been successfully evacuated under Operation Sindhu, with the Ministry of External Affairs coordinating closely with Indian missions in the region.
