Ramban | In the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited Ramban to reassure residents and oversee ongoing recovery efforts.

"My purpose of coming here was to reassure the people of Ramban that even though a very tragic incident happened in Pahalgam, we have not forgotten Ramban," Abdullah said during his visit. He emphasized the importance of maintaining government presence and support across all affected areas to prevent any sense of neglect among the residents.

Abdullah reviewed the local situation firsthand and provided updates on the progress made. "The highway has been opened for one-way traffic," he announced, noting that this crucial step would help restore connectivity and ease the movement of people and essential supplies. Additionally, he confirmed that funds necessary for restoration work had been released from Jammu, signaling swift administrative action to address infrastructure damages and local needs.
