By A Staff Reporter: Are people in Manipur, frustrated with dislocation of normal life owing to ethnic strife, are turning while heartedly against their N Biren Singh government? The simmer of widespread dissension against chief minister Biren Singh started from Moreh town when leader of all communities issued a press statement mentioning that there is no friction between Kukis, and others residing in the town. Earlier chief minister had issued a statement that several Manipuris of a particular community had fled Moreh to the jungles of Myanmar after being attacked by other community members and they were subsequently rescued by security forces. The locals of Moreh contradicted the chief minister and issued a press statement. Several local residents alleged that there is no functional government in Manipur and chief minister N Biren Singh does not enjoy the confidance of the people anymore and need to replaced immediately to have any hope of peace returning to the state.
