Mafia don Anand Mohan Singh has many cases of extortion, kidnapping, murder cases against him and was on a death sentence which was commuted to life imprisonment. Nitish government in a surprise order released him from custody. Political pundits mentioned that Nitish Kumar is widely known to play the politician criminal nexus card to pursue another term in office. But Bihar administration specially IAS officers are up in arms. They have strongly protested the release.
